The Sloane Precinct Owners Association (SPOA) is a property owner led management structure focused on maintaining and improving the public environment within the Sloane Precinct in Bryanston, Johannesburg. The association coordinates supplementary services that support municipal delivery and ensure the area remains functional, safe and well managed.

The precinct encompasses the area bounded by Winnie Mandela Drive, Sloane Street, Main Road and Bryanston Drive. The association brings property owners together to collectively address challenges affecting businesses, tenants and visitors while supporting long term stability of the node. The Owners Association is a formal legal structure where individual properties remain privately owned while public infrastructure and services are coordinated through a shared management programme. The goal is to improve service delivery, communication and operational oversight within the precinct.

What the Precinct does:

  1. Security
    The precinct supports private security patrols and coordination with law enforcement agencies. The goal is to improve visibility, reduce incidents and support businesses and staff operating in the area.

  2. Cleaning and Maintenance
    Teams maintain pavements, streets and public areas, remove litter and monitor environmental conditions. Public environment concerns are identified and reported.

  3. Urban Management
    The precinct monitors infrastructure issues such as damaged paving, lighting problems and maintenance concerns and escalates these to the relevant municipal departments while tracking progress.

  4. Stakeholder Coordination
    The association provides a communication channel between property owners, tenants, local organisations and the City to ensure concerns are addressed through structured processes.
